RAYMOND MHLABA CHESS INITIATIVE

This initiative has been a dream for many a past chess president within the institution, and to see it finally taking shape under the expert hands of our resident former president Mr Xhanti Mafongosi a Computer Science Masters Student assisted by our ever energetic Chess Captain Miss Stella N Timla an Honors Mathematics student is a feat bespoke of excellence. Their extensive work and leg work is something that as a club we commend and encourage and as we begin to engage locals, club members and schools within the Alice domain, we already see that this is a legacy that will live on long after we have become alumni's of this prestigious institute. 

Having an HOD of sport and sports officer who go well beyond their call of office to both support and encourage such development is a heartwarming experience.As the UFHCHESSCLUB we are humbled to be working under such stalwarts as these and we believe the sky is the limit in terms of initiatives that will bring a community together in a game that is so beneficial to the development of the mind.
